What Are "Rated Wet" Fans?

As part of our 20% off all ceiling fans promotion this month, The Light House is offering rated-wet/wet-rated ceiling fans at this discount.

You might be asking, "What are rated-wet ceiling fans?" There are damp-rated and wet-rated fans. These ratings are given to fans by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL). The difference in the two is as such:

-          Damp-Rated Fans: These are fans that should be placed in a bathroom or other humid locations.
-          Wet-Rated Fans: If you want to put your fan on a patio, front porch or other area where it may come into direct contact with water, look for fans with a "wet" rating. Wet-rated fans include attributes like sealed (moisture resistant) motors, rust-resistant housing casing, stainless steel hardware and all-weather blades.
